Fell in love with…
Vintage barrettes - the perfect alternative to the hair tie. Use a barrette to clip your freshly chopped bob or lob hair into a ponytail at the nape of the neck. It eliminates the need for bobby pins and looks like you’ve carefully considered your hair for the day, rather than scrunching it together in a hastily tied pony.
Listened to…
Cigarettes After Sex’s song “Nothing's gonna hurt you baby”. It’s soothing, sensual and quite good at washing away the day’s stresses.
Reflected on …
Recent travels. Especially a day spent in the beautiful Tuileries Palace gardens, getting caught in spring sun showers. Pure magic.
Purchased…
A pair of vintage YSL heels complete with gold stars - an item that has been on our hit list for years.
Had cravings for…
Clothing that champions frills, ruffles and rich velvet. Simplicity is out and decadence is in.
Got excited when...

Received an education in…
Beginners Italian. Although as with all language learning, it’s a work in progress. When you travel frequently, having a second language to forge connections with others helps a lot. Even if it is just the basics.
Became obsessed with…
The ethereal beauty and easy-going glam of Croatian born, Australian model Mateja Buila. Oyster Magazine has described her as having “ the air of a graceful tomboy, a face to end all faces and ripped abs.”
Watched… The film ‘A Bigger Splash’ starring Tilda Swinton. Watch it for the strong Dior code and costume designer Giulia Piersanti’s many wins in the outfit department. Director Luca Guadagnino's thoughts on dressing for film, as told to WWD:
“Viewers can immediately crack the code of a character by the way they present themselves. It doesn’t mean they have to be dressed well, it’s how they are dressed.”
Guadagnino further praised Perisanti by saying “...she knows how to interpret the present. It’s fundamental. And she moves between life and dream. It’s a testament to her quality that the costumes of ‘A Bigger Splash’ are so eclectic.” Also of note: Ralph Fiennes’ unforgettable solo dance to ‘Emotional Rescue’ by The Rolling Stones.
