Star Signs & Sartorial Dispositions
04.11.19

On her most recent trip to Florence, Constance uncovered a rare, never-worn zodiac necklace collection.

Circa 1970s and in pristine condition, each delicate chain-link necklace comes with a gold-plated pendant, featuring the symbol of each star sign.

In celebration of its launch today, we delved into the key style traits of each star sign, guided by some of our muses their birthdates...

Aries – Celine Dion
March 21 - April 19

Aries tend to favour structural, bold pieces over whimsical styles and will never shy away from making a statement with their sartorial choices.

There’s no denying Celine has had a major comeback over the last few years; we love the way she has reminded us all that it is never too late to be completely, unapologetically fabulous – a classic representation of her energetic, passionate and daring star sign.

Taurus – Linda Evangelista
April 20 - May 20

Lover of luxurious simplicities, like the beautiful Linda Evangelista, Taurians appreciate well-made, classic silhouettes with unique details cut in the finest of fabrics.

Though more likely to opt for a beautiful, fine chain necklace they’ll wear daily, over a bold statement earring, they still like to mix it up with chic accessories like a silk scarf, a handheld purse or a fabulous hat.

Gemini – Naomi Campbell
May 21 - June 20

The Gemini is youthful, adventurous and charming.  Being a twin, they tend to have two style personalities – often flipping between clean line classics and playful, eccentric pieces.

Naomi Campbell is a classic Gemini, known for her bold, head turning looks as much as her sleek 90s silhouettes - though never without a little rhinestone bling.

Cancer – Jerry Hall
June 21 - July 22

Cancerians are deep, sensitive creatures for whom home is the ultimate comfort. Patient, creative and compassionate, Cancerians are style chameleons, often changing their look depending on their mood.

We’ve long been fans of model and muse Jerry Hall, who looks as chic in a bold leopard print gown as she does in jeans, a tee and a statement belt.

Leo – Cara Delevigne
July 23 - August 22

Courageous, spontaneous and expressive, Leos are one of the most confident of all the star signs, giving them the ability to pull off whatever they choose to wear with ease. We love the way Cara Delevigne mixes up her jewellery picks, alternating from statement pieces to subtle sparkles, depending on her overall look.

Virgo  - Carine Roitfeld
August 23 - September 22

A Virgo’s style is easily summed up by her classic character traits: sophisticated, humble, and practical.  Virgos love timeless silhouettes with attention to subtle details, tone-on-tone dressing and sharp, slick tailoring.

Often sticking to an aesthetic formula once they’ve found their tried and true favourites, Virgo Carine Roitfeld is a perfect example of this. Well known for her penchant for pencil skirts and peep toe boots, she always looks effortlessly polished, no matter the occasion.

Libra – Carre Otis
September 23 - October 22

Elegant, feminine, luxurious, comfort - a Libran’s four favourite words when it comes to style.

Represented by the scale, they know just how to balance their outfits perfectly in regards to proportion, accessories and colour matching, with a distinct eye for detail.

90s super and fellow Libran, Carre Otis demonstrates these effortless style traits perfectly.

Scorpio – Elsa Hosk
October 23 - November 21

We love the way Scorpio Elsa Hosk she wears her clothing with an attention-grabbing edge - she isn't afraid of a plunging neckline or thigh high split - whilst still leaving a little to the imagination.

When it comes to Scorpios, a figure hugging silhouette and statement jewels that highlight the neck and décolletage are the ultimate staples.

Sagittarius – Gemma Chan
November 22 - December 21

Optimistic, honest and adventurous, Sagittarians love to experiment with their wardrobes and are constantly on the hunt for unique, rare pieces to wear with their everyday staples.

Opting for classic with a twist, whether wearing denim and a blazer or a red carpet gown, there is always an unexpected element to make for a memorable ensemble.

Actress Gemma Chan is a classic Sagittarian and makes statement dressing look so effortless, whether in casual or evening attire.

Capricorn – Kate Moss
December 22 - January 19

The one and only Kate Moss has a style that has been emulated worldwide for decades, and it’s easy to understand why.

Capricorns like Kate exude understated elegance, tending to stick with a neutral colour palette and embellishing their look with unique, bohemian jewels and accessories.

Aquarius – Doutzen Kroes
January 20 - February 18

Independent and edgy, Aquarians have a way of making bold statements look like total classics, no matter the time of day.

Whether dressed to the nines or ready for school pick up, we love the way Aquarian Doutzen Kroes makes everything from her red carpet looks to her street style choices look effortlessly cool.

Pisces – Lauren Santo Domingo
February 19 - March 20

Sensitive, sympathetic dreamers, Pisces are the most romantic of all the star signs. Often drawn to feminine, delicate pieces, the Piscean isn’t afraid of colour or pattern, both in her wardrobe and in her home.

Moda Operandi’s Lauren Santo Domingo can do no wrong when it comes to her sartorial choices, and is a classic example of a romantic Pisces dresser.
