CC is currently in Europe, sourcing for our next vintage edit and private client commissions - oui, it is a tough job...
In Paris yesterday, a l'heure dorée.
...and when packing for a sourcing trip, one must be armed with the essentials, for long haul travel is certainly no joke. If you have a faraway holiday on the horizon read on for packing tips for your next fair weather escape, via a detailed outline on what's in CCs's suitcase - The Europe Trip, Summer 2019 edition.
Most importantly, skincare - it's all about hydration. Utilise the uninterrupted time well and you may just turn up feeling more refreshed than when you left.
As all good girls know skincare starts from within, a 3 litre water canister refilled every 10 hours is our #1 tip.
Once in the air, remove makeup and
refresh when needed with
Bybi's Mega Mist (available at Sephora).
When dealing with a 17 hour leg, our poor eyes often get the worst of it - look after the delicate skin around the eye area with
Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes and you'll be feeling as good as new at the customs line.
Finally, apply a super hydrating balm. A current go to is
M&R Skin Balance Balm, which locks in all of that product we've just applied, whilst adding a protective barrier for the flight duration.

LR: Hand Cream by Officile Unverselle Bully, Silk Eye Mask, Bybi Mega Mist, Aromatherapist Roller,
Velvet Slippers, Givenchy Clip Ons, Goldfaden Bright Eyes, M&R Skin Balance Balm.
Apply hand cream throughout the flight for soft, supple skin - we love this one by
Officine Universelle Bully for its delicate scent and beautiful packaging.
If you suffer from air sickness, we swear by the compact aromatherapist roller oil by Courtney & The Babes - a must have.
A comfortable pair of velvet slip ons take up barely any space and are perfect for in-flight walkabouts - a much preferred alternative to the static socks provided in-flight.
And finally, if all else fails, some beloved Givenchy clip on earrings will distract from a tired face post-flight (these Balmain beauties would do an equally good job).
LR: Alessandra Rich Bikini, ILIA Travel Palette, Givenchy Door Knockers (similar statement style here), Obligatory Hat and Sunglass Combo.
In the Suitcase:
When the forecast is for a heatwave, there is no leaving the house without System Professional's UV protection spray for hair, from our friends at
M11 Studio.
In the wardrobe department, a timeless swimsuit that goes with everything - this time an Alessandra Rich bikini, via
Net-a-Porter.
Another pair of face-saving Givenchy earrings, these stunning door-knockers are perfect for when a pool-to-bar day is on the agenda (try our
Syracruse Earrings for another versatile look).
Of course, we can't go anywhere without our Olympia essentials. The
Alessandra Necklace in Gold and Turquoise is the perfect summer jewel to pop against neutral linen looks, with a golden faux glow (we like
Josie Maran's Vanilla Apricot Argan Liquid Gold Self Tanning Oil), and cult favourite, the
Babette Ring - our kind of summer cocktail ring.
Olympia Alessandra Necklace in Gold and Turquoise; Olympia Babette Cocktail Ring.
Sun-protection is a non-negotiable, of course - a hat and sunglasses purchased on the last holiday are proving useful again this trip, boding well for seasons to come.
We have already secured some truly stunning couture pieces and we are only on day three, so stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
And, don't forget, we offer a complimentary private sourcing service for those looking for a particular style or occasion. This trip we have a number of bridal and special event commissions on our list. If you'd like to discuss this option, it's not too late - contact us at
