Make yourself a pot of tea or pour a glass of wine and come take a peek inside the wardrobe of our founder, Constance von Dadelszen, as she rediscovers some of her favourite gems....

These vintage crystal pieces have been a work in progress. I was hoping to find a complete original set for my deco dressing table but it's taken a few years to source the pieces seen here.

I adore the ring dish and the handheld mirror, they give major old Hollywood vibes. The vintage gold hair barrettes are french and a must-have for clipping back my hair when it's cut super short.

I just uncovered this image among our wedding photos, after taking the time to go through them again - a shot I had somehow had missed before.

A friend purchased these beautiful Valentino earrings from one of L&Os early couture collections. My dress had a simple neckline with no embellishment, a train and I had a matching silk veil.  All along I knew I wanted to have an oversized but timeless pair of earrings that felt befitting of such a special day.

I unsuccessfully tried to source a pair for over a year until I remembered these; I knew they would be perfect as we were also married in Italy, so it was lovely to wear a vintage Italian design borrowed from a friend.

I've been thinking about our wedding a lot over the past few weeks, and how lucky we were to be married in Florence. My heart aches for brides and grooms to be who may be dealing with cancellations and postponements, due to the current world changes we are all facing.

From left to right:

A vintage black opal necklace, a wedding gift from my father. I had this redesigned to wear it every day if I wish.

A Balenciaga choker - one of the first pieces of vintage I ever purchased, I also had a pair of matching earrings which I sadly lost. I hope whoever found them is enjoying them.

Givenchy logo earrings, a recent purchase. I love the hammered gold antique texture; such a seventies vibe.

Vintage Givenchy Heart earrings. I purchased these to wear with my second wedding outfit which had a playful 60s vibe to it. I wanted something fun, that would make people smile when they saw them, I don't normally gravitate to such a girly design, but they were perfect for the afterparty.

Valentino pearl earrings - As mentioned above, the pair I chose to wear with my wedding dress and my "borrowed item for the day".

A Vintage black pearl ring, a gift from my parents.

Lacroix earrings, my most worn pair of glamorous earrings; a go-to for special events or date night (even if that is on the couch at present!)

One of my first pieces of Lacroix and a delicate beauty, after I dropped it!  However it has since been repaired, and will have many more years of love.

A vintage Charlotte Perriand designed Le Corbusier chaise. I adore this piece, we purchased at auction and since it came home with us I noticed I've been gravitating to items in this colour palette. For instance this Gucci bag and these Bottega Venetta heels, two other much-loved vintage finds.

I purchased this vintage film press book as a gift for Eddie and had it framed. I love the original 60s vibe and it always serves as a talking point for guests in our dining room.

These 90s Chanel earrings are iconic and a major collector's item. I just wish I was the collector!

However, a lovely and very glamorous friend of mine purchased these from me so I get so much joy seeing her wear them. She's a collector of gorgeous vintage jewels so these earrings are as treasured as they would be if they were still mine.

We hope you have a cosy weekend at home 🖤

Xx the L&O Team
