This Month We...

A Love & Object look at May, a month of travel planning, precious gemstones and a master class in modern power dressing.

Resisted the urge to purchase…
summer staples for the next European adventure, and reminded ourselves that last season’s warm weather wardrobe will suffice.

Reflected on …
Favourite movies that shape current style staples. Pastel hues from Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, silk slips from Scarface and 70s style evening wear courtesy of American Hustle.

Met…
our 80 year old neighbour for a glass of Vino. We listened to his colourful tales and learned how he stays healthy, happy and full of life.

Listened to…
“Roses” by The Chainsmokers: You can thank Philadelphia singer-songwriter Rozes for the voice talent.

Prepared for…
the arrival of a new collection of vintage jewellery available to shop from mid June. There are over 60 pieces curated from our favourite sources, inspired by the court of King Louis XVI.

Exercised zero self control....
while ordering a hearty side of fries at neighbourhood haunt, Federal Delicatessen. The day-and-night restaurant is inspired by the old-school Jewish delis one finds in NYC.

Received an education in…
the powers and properties of ancient gemstones.

Drink of choice…
An Italian red. Preferably low in sulphites and full bodied.

Watched…
“The Honourable Woman”Special film mention goes to costume designer Edward K. Gibbon whose slick and chic choices for Nessa Stein gave us a master class in modern power dressing.
